The company, which has three shareholders (Advanced Coal Technology (Pty) Ltd., South Africa; UIS Analytical Services (Pty) Ltd., South Africa; and Plurinvest Limitada, a Mozambican investment company), was formed to supply an independent, accurate and reliable analytical chemistry service.

Acucareira de Xinavane |
Açucareira de Xinavane is a Sugar Estate situated on the banks of the Incomati River in the Maputo Province of Mozambique. The Company’s major shareholder is Tongaat Hulett, which is a focused agri-processing business with integrated components in the areas of land management, property, development and agriculture. Tongaat Hulett is a growing, dynamic, and transforming organisation with business operations throughout Southern Africa.
Expansion opportunities are being actively pursued and projects to the value of 4 billion meticais have recently been approved to expand agricultural and sugar milling activities at the Xinavane and Mafambisse operations in Mozambique. Xinavane Sugar Mill currently has 6,000Ha under cane, and produces approximately 70,000 tons of sugar per annum, employing up to 7,000 people. On completion of its expansion project, the Company will produce 180,000 tons of sugar from cane harvested on 12,000Ha of cane land.
